Yes, some people say that it makes no difference if guns are available but here it tends to be that if someone has one of these grudges against society we do not tend to have the option to go and get a gun and blast people to death, although it has happened on occasion (Dunblane, Hungerford etc).

Oh, yes, I know that. But they are not as readily available as in the US. I couldn't go out and get one, not easily anyway, although as I haven't ever tried I don't really know. Wouldn't I need a licence and have to join a club etc?

I meant that the possibility of aquiring even a handgun illegally isn't difficult.

There are no handgun shooting clubs in the UK, when the ban was brought in the clubs had to close and all handguns had to be given up to the authorities.
Even Olympic pistol shooters in the UK have to travel abroad to practice.

Only shotguns are allowed in the UK and a licence isn't very easy to get.

I think that was ck - she went for shooting as a hobby, rather than fishing.

Unfortunately,it is a constitutional right for any adult in the U.S.A. to own a gun,been that way for years,despite Michael Moore's film,it seems as though American people like playing with dangerous weapons.
