OK, let's see how good you lot are at being Agony Aunts/Uncles

So I work with this guy, and we get on really well, and I really like him.

When we were talking one day, he told me that he only likes me as a really good mate, nothing more - yet all the time he's making comments to me about sex etc.

Am I being paranoid or is he trying to screw my head up?

He really wants to roger you silly, but he is either trying to convince himself that it is just harmless flirting, or he is testing you out to see if you show a flicker of wanting to take things further. Believe me - he is after you.

Oh, well, I'm not sure then. He either just enjoys flirting with you or he's still not sure whether to make a move. We can be slow that way.

It's just difficult, because we're mates - but because of the way he's being with me and how much it hurts, I just feel like I wanna push him away and not have much to do with him anymore.

I know how you feel. I had the same with someone a few years back. She would always say "you're my chum and that's as far as it goes", but she flirted with me all the time and would come out with all sorts of innuendo. It did my head in, seriously badly.

Go out for a meal and have a good chat over some food and some good alcohol. Everything you both want to say should be said by the end of the night and should be at yours for breakfast!

Maybe he's only comfortable talking to you like he does because he sees you as a "mate"? If he fancied you he might be less confident. What's he like around women he says he fancies?
