Default Why do we eat sweetcorn?!

It seems that we have been conned into believing that sweetcorn is good for us, but the body has no use for it whatsoever as it leaves the body in the same state that it entered! So why do we eat it?

cos it tastes nice, but know what you mean about it leaving as it entered our system, same could be said of beansprouts

Im not really a fan of any veg but I eat it because im a good boy. I cant eat it on its own so I mix it in with whatever im eating because I was told its good for you.

But then you body cant do anything with it so how can it be good if your gut cant break it down to remove the nutrients? Is this the great sweetcorn con or sweetcorngate? Is the Jolly Green Giant going to come and get me now I have exposed him as a great big fraud?

Can our bodies not break it down for the nutrients even when we chew it up a bit ?

After a little googling, Ck is on the right track. We all need to masticate more... that is MASTICATE!

That's all we need, starting a rumour that masticating helps your body get more vitamins
