  • The Morningstarr* community forums

    The Morningstarr*
The Morningstarr* forum was unleashed on the internets way back in 2006, and serves as a social network for readers of the much loved Morningstarr*, the UK's best bizarre news site.

Registering at the forum makes you part of our thriving online community, a varied bunch of misfits from all over the planet and quite possibly beyond. Joining a forum is a hugely social activity, much more satisfying than other popular networking websites such as Twitter or Facebook, but not mutually exclusive either. In fact you can join our fraternity by connecting with your existing Facebook account, just to make things easy for you.

If you don't think you could drag yourself away from Facebook then you can still connect with us through our Facebook page or application.

The Morningstarr* forums were opened with the intention of offering a certain amount of freedom of speech. At the time of our birth there was a demand for forums which were not heavily moderated, where people with more left-field or simply strange thoughts and views could discuss them without being banned or abused. We're obliged to have a set of formal rules and regulations, most of which concern technical legalities, we certainly don't want anything illegal going on. The only other rule our community abides by is not insulting other members or calling them childish names.

Thanks to that one simple guideline we've succeeded in creating a diverse population of members who can, if they so desire, post any crackpot cobblers without it disintegrating into pointless flaming and name-calling. This gives plenty of opportunity to actually discuss and debate interesting topics rather than people being shouted down and unpopular opinions simply being drowned out. It also means we're mostly a very friendly and tolerant bunch and new members are always made very welcome even if they're mentally bonkers.

All forum members are permitted to reply to threads, start their own threads, upload or embed images and videos and customise their own profiles and blog. Our admin team is always on hand to offer any assistance if you are unsure about any aspect of using the forums, don't hesitate to contact one of them through the feedback section, contact form or even private message.

Our community is open to practically anyone, but we don't allow under 13-year-old's to join as they're mostly little arseholes and because the software incorporates a COPPA filter. The site is really only aimed at adults, there are some specifically adult sections which are only intended for adult eyes and are certainly not safe for viewing at work. We're quite proud of our selection of filth and depravity, but some people don't like that sort of thing so we make efforts not to make anyone have to view anything they don't want to. The forum also contains a lot of fruity language and rude swears. This can also offend a lot of people, and we don't want it to put people off joining in so we offer an optional global swear-filter which transforms all foul language into harmless funny-talk. Our extremely user-friendly foruming experience will allow you to filter out any unwanted profanity and still enjoy our excellent services, don't let a little bad language put you off joining one of the very best forums on the net.
