  • The hottest 65 ladies of sci-fi and fantasy entertainment

THE MORNINGSTARR* geeks have been spending all this week compiling the definitive guide to the sexiest lasses in fantasy and sci-fi television or film.

The plethora of hotties were whittled down to just 65 of the fittest actresses to appear in your favourite genre roles in recent years, with one or two legendary sci-fi babes thrown in for good measure. The list was compiled using the most up-to-date and technical hottie grading equipment available to man, and the result is frankly an indisputable list of the sexiest film and TV stars in the galaxy.

    So, let’s begin:

    #65. Anna Paquin

    Anna Paquin

Perky Paquin, as she’s often referred to, is most famous these days for playing blonde telepathic saucepot Sookie Stackhouse in the brilliant True Blood.

The 29-year-old Kiwi actress kicked off her career way back in 1994 at the age of 11. She starred in the critically acclaimed The Piano, alongside Holly Hunter and Harvey Keitel. But she made her greatest impact playing Rogue in the first series of X-Men movies.

    #64. Amanda Tapping

    Amanda Tapping

At number 64 it’s sci-fi MILF Amanda Tapping. Although the 45-year-old hottie likes to drape herself in the Stars and Stripes, she is an original Essex girl, born in Rochford before emigrating to Canada with her parents aged three.

Tapping’s sci-fi pedigree began starring in Stargate SG-1 as Samantha Carter, she currently runs the Sanctuary playing Dr. Helen Magnus.

    #63. Kate Beckinsale

    Kate Beckinsale

The beautiful Kate Beckinsale made it into the list, for her portrayal of the sexy and deadly vampire warrior Selene in the Underworld movies, and not for her appearance in the thoroughly dog-shit Van Helsing.

British babe Beckinsale will be increasing her sexy sci-fi profile next year when she stars in the remake of Total Recall.

    #62. Hannah Spearritt

    Hannah Spearritt

S-Club pop-tart Spearritt has managed to avoid being killed off in Primeval by being eaten by some sort of dinosaur for a full five seasons now, despite a complete inability to act.

Incredibly the 30-year-old Norfolk lass has managed to outlive the show, which looks like it has become extinct itself. Just what the hell she’s likely to do next is anyone’s guess. More sci-fi seems unlikely, nostalgic pop tours on holiday camps probably much more likely.

Acting abilities aside, I’m sure you’d still “spear-it”.

    #61. Jessica Alba

    Jessica Alba

No list of sci-fi hotties, or any hotties for that matter, can be complete without Jessica Alba.

The 30-year-old fittie began her career as a child actor during the 90s, but her sci-fi credentials shot up when she made her true big-break starring in James Cameron’s Dark Angel. Since then roles in both Fantastic Four movies, and Sin City have made Alba a huge hit in the nerd fraternity.
