I've still got my XP. when we get the office sorted we'll have 4 computers up there. Just imagine the mischief we can get up to then.

Are you visiting here using Linux? I'd love to get into it too but I'm worried about being able to run everything that I use at the moment and will it work with wireless networking etc. So much stuff is written for Windows but not Linux, I'd be worried that a lot of stuff won't work.

Im actually using wubi a lighter version of ubuntu that you can install in to the same hard drive and have the option to dula boot, if you are really unsure you can get the ubuntu live cd which will let you use ubuntu without out actually installing in. Apart from having issues with playing dvd which I used the program automatix to load all the codecs for its brill, less chance of viruses and all that but you do have tolearn some stuff along the way to make your experience more suited to your nedds. You can use firefox and so forth, if you are unsure use the live cd, if you want to install a scaled down version go for wubi
with regards to wirless networking there is some issues but there are nearly always ways round it, and ubuntu has a large forum based community that will help you with any questions

I downloaded a version a while back - can't remember which one - and I've been meaning to try it. Will give it a whirl sometime. If it saves me ever having to "upgrade" Windows ever again I will be happy.
BTW, it's nice to see you around.
