I've just read "the Wizard's First Rule" while simultaneously listening to it on audio. I'm onto the second book now, Stone of Tears but I'm listening more than reading while I knit for grandson number two.

    Reading:

I just love the subtle hints of what's to come for adult Bond. Universal Exports is mention in passing when he's going past the warehouses, Royale-les-eaux.

I wondered why the name Paradice Club sounded so familier. There's a club of the same name in Devil May Care.

Oh and there's a 12 years later bit when he's Commander Bond.

Finished 'The Grail Quest' trilogy - class.

Read 'Sharpes Tiger' too - looking for the next one - 'Sharpes Triumph'.

Reading the American civil war ones now. Just finished 'Rebel' and got the second one today - 'Copperhead'. Just started it.

Excellent books - Bernard Cornwell is a master.
