I thought they were in Beezer too!

    Aha!

Was in Beezer, then moved to Beano.

    My bad.

I used to read the Beano and Dandy as well, then I started reading Eagle.

My friend at school used to get 2000ad and when we had read our respective comics, we swapped. He ended up with a big stack of Eagles and I kept the 2000ad's. I came out the victor methinks!

I also read a few Marvel comics back in the day. My Dad thought they were a bad influence and ordered the news-agent to stop selling them to me!

    I found other outlets though.

I still buy the odd graphic novel. Mostly zombie related or 2000ad compilations.

In this country it's still seen as kids stuff, in Japan it considered a vital part of the culture.

    Bash St Kids with Plug.
Where are the girls with Bunty and Mandy?
    Vanda the ice skater?
The DC Batman and Superman were, for me, wonderfull.
Lana Lang, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olson. Sigh
Zombie, remember the Mighty Mekon? I always wanted one of them flying chair cushions.
DanDare.org.uk - Dan Dare doesn't know it... but I like The Mekon
Used to get him mixed up with the Merciless Ming, I know he's from Flash Gordon.

Yeah, the Mekon was great. I liked his little cushion. It didn't have anything to hold on to though, i'm surprised he didn't fall of more often. I liked Doomlord as well.

He did keep falling off, and banging his head. That's how it got so swollen.
