It's been announced that Britain’s top seaside resort is to ban the sale of blow-up dolls in an attempt to clean up its image.
Stallholders in Blackpool are being warned that
any sex related items considered offensive will be seized.

The move follows the launch of Blackpool council’s new code of conduct this year which urges stag and hen parties to have more respect for other visitors and residents.
Tory council leader Peter Callow (Thank you for the christmas card
) has pledged to clean up the town's often tacky image.
He said “We’ve all seen blow-up dolls and other vulgar items for sale on the prom, although it may appear as a bit of harmless fun, for many it can be deemed offensive."
Callow sent a clear warning to traders before they place their orders for next years season and said that legislation will be used to remove any inappropriate items.
“I have made my intentions clear on cleaning up our town.”
If Callow means business then this could be good for the town. Blackpool has had no clear direction for years, it used to rely on good summers and families not being able to afford to go abroad for some sand and sea what with the unreliable weather and the competitive prices available for cheap package holidays abroad it lost it's appeal to many and became reliant on stag and hen parties for it's revenue. For a good few years it was the place for gays to congregate but even they've given up the ghost and headed off for pastures new.
Millions of pounds have and are being spent in and around Blackpool, the promenade has had a complete makeover at the same time as the sea defences were improved and many of the larger hotels have had a facelift but the bottom line is, that if someone were to visit Blackpool on a rainy or windy day they would have a shite time. The weather is a key factor to whether or not you enjoy yourself in Blackpool and I don't know what Callow can do about that.
