It doesn't matter what image they put on a cigarette packet, smokers will still smoke them. I'm well aware of the risks of smoking, so I don't need to be reminded every time I pick a packet up. If the images did end up causing me 'distress', I'd buy a holder to put them in before thinking about giving up.
The one and only thing that puts me on a guilt trip and will make me stop (very soon
) is my son. He's at an age where he keeps 'nagging' me not to smoke because he's worried about me dying - that's more of a deterrent to me then a photoshopped image on a packet of cigs.
