•1305: Robert the Bruce is crowned king of the Scots and will lead a successful rebellion against the English, thought we had sorted this bugger out yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
•1807: The slave trade is abolished in the British empire after the parliamentary bill receives royal assent, still got the 3rd world sweat shops to help us along thank goodness .
•1957: Germany, France, Benelux and Italy sign the Treaty of Rome, establishing the European Economic Community, yay what a great success that will be.
