Default Top Five Legal Highs Revealed!

This article is for educational purposes only, I really don't recommend any of this shit. In fact I can't, I've never actually tried any of them.

  • Broom
Broom, or Scotch Broom (Cytisus scoparius) is a shrub native to Central and Southern Europe and also grows along the US Eastern coastline. It was once a traditional native American medicine used as a cathartic and diuretic.

The dried flowers of the plant can be smoked producing relaxing effects, intellectual clarity, psychological arousal and heightened awareness of colours.

The plant is extremely toxic if ingested or smoked in huge quantities over a long period of time. Because of the heart stimulating properties it is especially discouraged for people with heart conditions.

  • Calamus
Calamus (Acorus calamus), is the root of the marsh plant Sweet Flag. The root is used to make a "tea" which causes a "pleasant high" with some intoxicating and mind altering effects. This herb was also used by Native American Indians but even more controversially it was also the drug of choice for Moses. Calamus is also said to have been used by witches in their "flying ointments". Sounds like it get's you smashed enough to think you can fly and see talking burning bushes. Brilliant!

Calamus is a known carcinogen in animals though, and long term use is certainly not recommended. Unless you are planning on leading an entire race from slavery or something similar perhaps.

  • Kava Kava
Kava Kava is another "tea", this time made from the root of the Kava plant (Piper methysticum). The effect is said to be similar to that of cannabis, but isn't said to taste very nice. Adverse effects are numbing of the mouth, no other medical ill effects are known but regular use is widely believed to be detrimental to your health.

  • Kola Nut
The Kola Nut is the seed of the tree Cola acum inata.

Chewing these seeds has a stimulating effect due to the caffeine content combined with the presence of a muscle relaxant ~ theobromine.

The caffeine is said to be the biggest danger, causing nervousness and insomnia.

  • Wild Lettuce
This is the sap of the plant Lactuca virosa. The sap has a narcotic, relaxing effect and has been used as an alternative to poppy opium by the medical profession.

The herb is prepared much like cannabis, either dried leaves or a resin is smoked.

Like smoking any substance it is believed to cause lung damage. If you believe that bullshit.

Winners Don't Do Drugs!!!!!
