I don't think Britain's morality has been on the slide since the sixties because two generations of our young folk have been corrupted by fox hunting!
At the end of the day most hunts are just glorified piss-ups, and most strong, fit foxes are well able to avoid capture.
Being torn to pieces by a pack of hounds may not sound very nice, but it's pretty quick and no more than the little munchers deserve, given the damage they do to livestock and poultry.
It's fair to say that by far and away the cruelest aspect of hunting is the treatment of the hounds themselves - there's very little in the way of tea and sympathy for them if they pick up an injury, I can tell you.
